Quotes and prices

• Prices on the website are starting points, and the estimator gives a rough range, not a quote.
• After a free call you get a written quote with a fixed price, a timeline and a list of what is included. That price does not change unless the scope does.
• If you ask for something outside the quote, we agree the extra cost before I start on it.
• Founding-client prices apply to the first 5 clients who accept a quote. Once those places are taken, regular prices apply.

Risk-free first draft

This applies to website projects on the Launch and Growth packages.

• There is no deposit. Work starts once you accept the quote and send what I need to begin.
• You see a working first draft within 48 hours of that start.
• The first draft is a preview of the main page layout, styling and proposed enquiry or booking flow. The remaining pages, final content, integrations and testing follow the scope and timeline in your quote. The quote also defines the included revision rounds.
• If you want to go ahead, you pay 50% of the quoted price when you approve the draft and 50% at launch.
• If you don't want to go ahead, you owe nothing. The draft, including its design and code, stays with Draft48 and may not be used.

Online stores, apps and other custom projects

These start with a deposit and are paid in milestones as work is delivered. The amounts and milestones are set out in your quote.

What I need from you

• Your content: text, logo, photos and access to any accounts the project depends on.
• Feedback within a reasonable time. Timelines assume it; delays in feedback move the launch date.

Ownership

• Once the project is paid in full, the design and code made for you are yours.
• Your domain, hosting and other accounts are registered in your name.
• Third-party and open-source software used in the project stays under its own licence.
• I may show the finished work in my portfolio unless you ask me not to.

Costs from other companies

Domain names, hosting and any paid tools or subscriptions your project uses are billed to you by those companies. I'll tell you what they are before you commit.

After launch

• For 30 days after launch I fix bugs free of charge. A bug is something that doesn't work as the quote described; new features and content changes are quoted separately.
• The Care Plan is optional and costs USD $99 per month. You can cancel at any time, and it runs to the end of the month you have paid for.

How I work

I use AI tools to write, test and document code. I review and test everything before it reaches you, and I remain responsible for the result.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada.
