What I collect, and why

• Contact form. Your name, email address and project details, plus your company, budget and timeline and how you found Draft48 if you choose to give them. I use these to reply to you, prepare a quote and understand which introductions are useful.
• Booking a call. Calls are scheduled through Cal.com, which collects your name, email address, time zone and anything you add to the booking.
• Email. If you email me, I keep the conversation so I can answer and follow up.
• Website check. The address you enter is fetched once to produce your report. The report is created on request and is not saved by the checker. If you choose to send a review request, the website address, findings and anything you add are sent with your enquiry.
• Visitor statistics. I count page views with Vercel Web Analytics: the page, the referring site, the country, and the type of device and browser. I also count actions such as booking-link clicks, completed checks and successful enquiry submissions. Form contents, email addresses and checked website addresses are not included in these events. Analytics uses no cookies.
• Client projects. Anything you share during a project is used only to deliver that project.

What I don't do

• I don't sell or rent your information.
• I don't use advertising trackers.
• I don't add you to a mailing list unless you ask.

Services that handle the information

I rely on a few companies to run the site and my inbox: Vercel (hosting and visitor statistics), Resend (delivering contact form messages), Cloudflare (domain and email routing), Google (email) and Cal.com (scheduling). They process information on my behalf and may store it in countries including the United States.

How long I keep it

Enquiries that don't become projects are deleted within two years. Client records are kept for as long as the working relationship lasts and as long as tax and legal records require.

Your choices

You can ask to see the information I hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted. Email hello@draft48.com and I'll reply within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with my answer, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.

If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it.
